DBPS honour’s meritorious students 11/15/2015 11:54:20 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 15 : Dogra Brahman Prathinidhi Sabha (DBPS) today organized an impressive function in which 157 meritorious students were honoured who secured distinguished, positions in the recent Examination held by J&K Board and CBSE. Governor NN Vohra was Chief Guest and Dr. R.D. Sharma Vice Chancellor Jammu University. Rajesh Gupta MLA Jammu East, and Chander Mohan Sharma BJP leader and Champion of Tawi Bachoo Andolan were on the stage with the governor as Guest of honour. The function was attended more than eight hundred persons Ved Parkash Sharma the president of the Sabha chaired the function which started with inaugural speech of the president followed by Momentous and shawls given to the distinguished guest on the stage. The Governor congratulated the Sabha for its activities, appreciated the contributions of the Sabha. Meanwhile, MLA gave Rs. 10 laks to the Sabha for its developmental work and declared that he will see that Murti of Maharishi Chanakya is installed at chanakya Chowk, opposite Brahman Sabha at Parade.
