| Morning walkers look towards BJP-MP, MLA for repair of Manda Walking Track | | | | Jammu, Dec 11 : Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch seat Jugal Kishore Sharma who holds chair of president state BJP and BJP MLA from Jammu West Assembly Sat Sharma (CA) have come on the radar of their old pals who used to walk along with them the Manda walking strip and now anchored hopes for due repairs and maintenance of walking track. Ever since assuming new responsibilities after the formation of the BJP-PDP alliance govt in the state the two BJP leaders have stopped going out for a morning walk and during the time the walking track has witnessed lot of wear and tear. Instead of reaching out to them through formal way of meeting and raising the demand some of the morning walkers have found out a novel way of raising their voice in front of these leaders to chip with developmental funds from their quota and order repair work of the walking track from Manda. According to a face book post of senior citizens reads, "Here is the place where lot many Jammuites, like me, go for walk and do their exercises. This shed and benches were constructed by JDA long ago. Alas! The track from Manda to this lovely and serene place, in deep woods, is in a pathetic condition." Recalling from past one morning walker said, "Madan Lal Sharma, former MP had provided funds from his MPLAD funds for black topping the track during his tenure as MP." "How I wish that this very video and photo reminds them of their earlier days spent travelling this track and open the strings of their MPLAD/ CDF Funds for providing for black topping of this track", a regular morning walker wrote on his facebook page to highlight the plight of the walking track. |
