Cong pays floral tributes to Khajuria on his death anniversary | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: Rich tributes were paid to former minister and senior Congress leader Yash Paul Khajuria on his 4th death anniversary in a programme held here today at Ashoka Palace. The function was attended by a large number of people including prominent leaders of the Congress, sympathizers and family friends of Yash Pal Khajuria, which was presided over by former minister and vice president Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Mula Ram and attended by Jugal Kishore Sharma-Group leader of the party in the Upper House; Chief Spokesman JKPCC Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC); Ch. Shahnawaz, General Secretary JKPCC; Hari Singh Chib; Sardari Lal Dubey, Brij Mohan Sharma, Shakeel Shah and other Congress leaders. MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma while paying tributes to Yash Pal Khajuria remembered his contribution in strengthening the party especially in Udhampur district. He referred his political career and struggle in political life and said that it will remain a source of inspiration for younger generations. Referring to the demand of people of setting up of memorial in the name of Yashpal Khajuria, Jugal Kishore Sharma offered his full services for the same and said that he will take up the issue with the concerned authorities in consultation with the party leadership. Jugal said that BJP hoodwinked and befooled the people of Jammu region for the past six decades on the issues of abrogation of Article 370 and various other emotional issues but surrendered for the sake of power. While paying tributes Ravinder Sharma said that Yash Pal Khajuria was known in the party rank and file for his simplicity, honesty, integrity, commitment and dedication towards the service of people, especially the downtrodden and poor. |
