Three months on, result of AD Statistics exam still awaited | JKPSC's indifference challenging aspirants' patience | | Akshay Azad
Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 26: The slow pace of Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to complete the recruitment process for various posts is causing distress among aspirants besides increasing the pendency of posts with the Commission. The failure of JKPSC to announce the results of Mains exam conducted for the posts of Assistant Director (Statistics) after the lapse of more than three months is one such example, which exposes the claims of premier recruitment agency to accelerate the process. The aspirants, who have been waiting for the last three months informed Early Times that the mains exams for the post was held on September 6, 2015 and it was now more than three months but there had been not a word from the Commission officials. "Whenever we make a call to Commission's office to get detail of the result, either the officials present there don't pick up the phone or refuse to give any detail", an aspirant rued, adding that officials of JKPSC respond rudely to the aspirants' calls. Castigating the JKPSC authorities, another aspirant said that the recruitment process started in on 10/9/2013 for 28 posts of Assistant Director (Statistics). "The preliminary exam was held on 23/2/2014, result of which was declared on 12/3/2014. The written examination for compulsory papers was held on 29/3/2015, while as the Mains exam held on September 6, 2015", he said, adding that for the last two years they have been waiting but there was prolonged delay. He further said that after the results of Mains, there would be interviews but it was very sad to observe that result of Main exam was not declared. "The Central recruitment agencies have been doing a wonderful job by completing recruitment process in few months but JKPSC take years to complete any process, which narrated lethargic approach and lack of work culture", the aspirant said, adding that earlier there was a court case but at present there was no court case, but only the lethargic functioning of officials was responsible for delay. Secretary of JKPSC, Shakeel-Ur-Rehman didn't pick up his phone for comments. |
