Poonch, Dec 26: In order to have way for infiltration, Pakistan army set on fire forests opposite top Balakote sector near line of control.
Sources said that 650 Mujahid Regiment of Pakistan Army stationed at Goga post opposite top Balakote sector in close vicinity of line of control (LoC) set dry produce of the forets on fire at 4.30 pm today resulting in a thick layer of smoke spreading all over the surrounding area allegedly by facilitate infiltration into this side of border.
The thick layer of smoke has been raised all over the area to let infiltrators sneak into this die of the LoC to carry out the subversive activities in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir, the sources added. As per gap and Rai Tekri posts in Surankote area were vulnerable for infiltration to take the advantage of smoke followed by the darkness the forest was set on fire by the Pak Army, the sources further added.
When contacted incharge police post Balakote, Sub-Inspector Kapil Manhas confirmed that the forest area was set on fire in top Balakote sector and it still continues, he lamented. |
