| Irked over power cuts, locals stage protest against MLC, MLA and PDD | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Dec 26: Irked over power curtailments peoples of backward village Devak and its adjoining area protested against Power department (PDD), Local MLA and MLC for their failure in providing power supply to their areas.
Protestors said the area is under blackout for last 15 days and alleged that the local MLA, MLC and officials from PDD department have failed to redress their demand and they are left to suffer without power since 15 days.
Sarpanch Om Parkash said PDD department has failed to repair the burnt transformer in time.
Further he also alleged that both the local MLA and MLC too have failed to take up their matter with concerned authorities. Meanwhile they added that peoples from adjoining village of Devak namely village Talli Draman have been suffering blackout for more than one month but authorities yet have not taken any action to restore power in the area.
Protestors namely Rinku Sharma and Kulwant Raj said that they have met the MP Jugal Kishore yesterday and discussed the issue of burnt transformer, but he also doled only assurance. |
