Hurriyat has no role in Indo-Pak dialogue' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: The day PM Minister Narendra Modi made a surprise visit to the Pakistan, the senior BJP leader and party's point person on Jammu and Kashmir Ram Madhav said the Hurriyat will have no say in the Indo-Pakistan role. In a long interview to an international channel Madhav said the Hurriyat leaders if have any problems can talk to the state government and there issues will be addressed if they are under the Indian constitution. He also made it clear that Hurriyat will have no role in the Indo-Pak dialogue. This statement reflects the stated position of the Modi government which has made it clear that Hurriyat will have no role as far as India Pakistan diplomacy is concerned and and unlike in the past will not be allowed to play any assumed role in the peace process. The statement comes from the leader who is close confidant of the PM and has been appointed by him for stitching the PDP-BJP alliance. The home minister Rajnath Singh had also in the past clearly mentioned that Hurriyat leaders should hold talks with the state government. "The Modi government has clear policy. It wants to make it clear that Kashmir is an integral part of the India and Hurriyat or any such separatists don't have any role. The Modi government has cut to size these separatists and also send a message to the Pakistan that while it can do any business with the India including on J&K but can't push in its proxy to undermine the sovereignty of India. The Pakistan it seems has got the message and this would mean certain death kneel to the separatists," said the sources. The BJP has got into alliance with the PDP after careful caliberations, the PDP will take over the separatists space and BJP will ensure that separatists tendencies are weeded out and this visit of the Modi to Pakistan is step in that direction. |
