KATHUA, Dec 26 : The Pathways International School, Kathua today organized a grand function at the School campus to celebrate Kissan Diwas and Christmas. To add to the festive mood of Christmas and to acquaint the students with understanding the significance of Farmers Day, both the events were clubbed together to put up a grand show. Sandeep Chowdhary, HoD, English Department, Government Degree College, Kathua, was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Ghanshaam (Social Worker) was the guest of honour. Dr Divij Suri, Chairman, The Pathways International School, Dr SP Suri, Retd HoD, Department of Education, University of Jammu and Principal The Pathways International School Kunal Anand, were also present on the occasion. The function began with the lighting of the traditional ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. The students of the Primary Section presented one act play, depicting various steps in involved in the irrigation process, from the preparation of soil for farming to the final harvest of the crop. Another play was staged by the students of Class 3 to 5 on the significance of farming and farmers. The little toddlers mesmerized the audience with an extraordinary dance performance. Nitika Sharma presented a detailed speech on importance of Kissan Diwas. |
