| House, 28 cattle perish in fire | | | | Udhampur, Dec 26 : A house and twenty eight cattle perished in an accidental fire which enveloped the house and the cattle shed in a remote village Chirdi of district Udhampur last night. However there was no loss of human life. According to police sources, the house of one Desh Raj s/o Gayan Chand of village Chirdi in Chenani of Udhampur late last night suddenly caught fire which engulfed the whole house including the cattle shed. "The members of family however have miraculous escape from the house which got gutted completely while the 28 cattle in cattle shed including four Buffaloes, four cows, six sheep and fourteen goats were perished, sources said. |
