Jammu, Dec 26: A youth was crushed to death by a running matador here at Satwari Chowk today. Police have registered a case in this regard.
Police sources said, "The deceased has been identified as Banpreet Singh of Chatha.
As per reports, the incident took place during the evening hours when the youth was trying to get off the minibus bearing regd no JK21 A/ 2195, he was travelling in. Sources said that the youth was coming after having the tuition. "The youth was standing at the door of the minibus and trying to get off it when the incident took place," a senior police officer giving information said, adding, "after the incident the driver of the vehicle escaped from the spot". Meanwhile police have registered a case in this connection and seized the matador. |
