MVD Samba organizes painting competition 1/15/2016 11:49:07 PM Samba, Jan 15 : In the ongoing 27th Road safety Week 2016, MVD Samba today organized a painting competition at GDC Samba in collaboration with Government Degree College Samba and School Education Department Samba. Around 247 students from 37 Government and 9 private schools of all the four zones Samba, Ramgarh, Vijaypur and Purmandal participated. GDC Samba Principal Dr Ramesh Chander was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The students were divided in to three groups viz Group A classes 5th to 8th, Group B classes 9th and 10th and Group C comprising of classes 11th and 12th in the competition. The children participated on themes of Pollution and its effects on nature and human life, Causes of Road Accidents and Scenarios of road accidents in Samba. The participants were judged by a team of judges, Associate Professor Dr M.S Pathania, Assistant Professor Dr Sandhya Rani and Art Teacher JNV Nud Kamaljeet Kour. Winners of the competition were awarded. ARTO Samba Er. Kuldeep Singh informed about the activities being done by Motor Vehicles Department Samba in connection with 27th Road Safety Week. He said that the main objective of the campaign is to create and spread awareness about the importance of road safety as the frequency of road accidents is increasing at an alarming rate due to careless driving and massive increase in the number of vehicles.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
