BJP's promises to provide round the clock electricity fall flat 1/15/2016 11:53:44 PM Bijay Charak Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 15: Before assembly election BJP's Jammu based party had promised to provide round the clock electricity supply falls flat on ground, as the winter is heading towards its peak the people's life miserable while the "hide and seek" being played by power in Bhaderwah and their remote villages has been compounding to woes of residents. Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Seri said that the Power Development Department has added to the problems of the people here by resorting to scheduled and unscheduled power cuts in whole Bhaderwah town and adjoining areas. Not only in non-metered areas, but residents in metered localities are also bearing the brunt and spending most of their time without power supply. "Still People are facing ten to eleven -hour-long curtailment in intervals throughout the day. Although consumers expect enhanced supply of electricity in winter months, yet the PDD is not coming up to their expectations and demands", he said. Parveen Kumar another resident said that every year we are assured of better power supply but the situation instead worsens. We have been barely getting few hours of power supply per day. They (authorities) resort to power cuts as per their own wishes in our locality. The unscheduled power cuts have made each and every section of society in these parts of Bhaderwah suffer. However, the students are more worried as their studies are getting badly affected with the frequent and unscheduled power cuts. They further said that many times the deputation called the higher authority of PDD at that time they assured but on ground no changes in unscheduled power cuts. They further said that BJP MLA Deelap Singh Parihar before election promises us that if they elected as a member of Legislative Assembly and if their party are in power has committed to provide round the clock electricity supply but he and BJP has nothing done at ground. At present when anyone called him that their PA replied "Shaib abi meeting ma busy hain" call again after an hour but after that time he didn't respond the phone calls. "Around ten months lapse he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly but astoundingly he was not interested to solve the problem of poor people of Bhaderwah" he said.
