'Developmental activities graph' declined during regime of BJP-PDP Govt: Sham BJP-PDP have shaken confidence of people of state by making false promises 1/15/2016 11:53:16 PM Jammu, Jan 15: Lambasting the PDP-BJP coalition, Senior Vice President JKPCC and Ex Minster Sham Lal Sharma said that previous BJP PDP Govt has failed on all spheres in the state and further added BJP has played with the sentiments of the people of Jammu though claiming the sole champions of the people of Jammu region. Addressing Monthly meet of Block Congress Committee at Chowk Choura of Akhnoor, Sham Lal Sharma today said BJP has played with the sentiments of the people of Jammu while claiming that they are the sole champions of the people of Jammu region. "The NREGA which is the only source of income of rural people is being misused and compounded with corruption, alleged Sharma. "So much so there is political consideration while awarding the works under this scheme, said Sharma further adding, "the functioning of NREGA as the panchayat aren't taken into confidence is hampered." He also alleged that awarding the works is done on the basis of political affiliation i.e. to sympathizers of ruling party. Sham said, "There is uncertainty in the state as no government is functioning at present. "All the developmental works have come to halt and in absence of popular government the people of state are suffering very adversely. Sham further said, "BJP and PDP have shaken the confidence of all the people of the state by making false promises during election, which were never fulfilled." He said, though the common minimum program was chalked which was nothing but the Agenda of Alliance of PDP and BJP has just affixed it's stamp on it for gaining power. Sham Lal Sharma has expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in a serious road accident that occurred this morning at Keya between Ramnagar & Basantgarh in Udhampur.
