Two narco smugglers held with Ganja, Poppy Straw 1/15/2016 11:54:43 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 15: Police today claimed to have arrested two narcotics smugglers alongwith consignement of contraband including 02 kgs of Ganja and 03 kgs of poppy straw popularly known as Bhukki during a naka checking in Rajiv Nagar Chowk at Narwal. Continuing its drive against narcotic smugglers, a police team was constituted by the SP South Shazaad Salaria which laid a naka and recovered the consignment including Ganja and Poppy Straw. "The arrest was made at Rajiv Nagar Chowk Narwal Jammu, police said adding, "as per police reports, during naka checking two suspicious persons were intercepted and on seeing police party at naka point, the duo, tried to evade their arrest." "On this police party apprehended on the spot and on search of their belonging police team recovered approximately 03 kg poppy straw was recovered from the possession of accused namely Pardeep Kumar @ pipa S/O Manipal Singh R/o Rajiv Nagar Narwal Jammu and about 02 kgs of Ganja was recovered from the possession of accused namely Muna @ Langra S/o Manipal Singh R/O Rajiv Nagar Narwal Jammu. "In this connection case FIR no 09/2016 U/S 8/15/20 NDPS act stands registered at p/s Bahu Fort Jammu, police said.
