NMC for release of pending installment of 6% DA 1/15/2016 11:58:40 PM Early Times Report jammu, Jan 15: President of the National Mazdoor Conference(NMC) today appealed the Governor to take action in releasing pending installment of 6% DA due from July last in favor of state Govt. employees and pensioners. "In view of the Governor N. N. Vohra having assumed the reins of power and financial implications of the state on downside, there is no reason as to why the issue of pending installment of DA should not be settled as a routine financial matter." Shastri said while addressing a meet of NMC workers here. Since the Centre is mulling payment of additional amounts of DA to be incorporated in 7th pay commission, the state Govt. employees and pensioners will be put to a serious disadvantages. Describing Vohra as an astute administrative authority who is always sympathetic to salaried class, is expected to release the D.A. installment. He said that the issue of daily wagers working in particular departments like PWD, PHE, PDD and Irrigation and Flood Control Departmens etc with respect to non payment of their wages for the last years together is gathering dust and he appealed Vohra to direct the concerned to release their wages without any further delay. Shastri also demanded removal of pay anamolies of clerical cadre under SRO 93. Among others who also spoke on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S.Jamwal, Mohd.
