Kathua locals stage protest against lackadaisical attitude of distt admn 3/6/2016 10:28:12 PM Early Times Report KATHUA, Mar 6: Lamenting the inadequate ration supply, the Kathua locals staged a protest demonstration here today against the lackadaisical attitude of district administration. Raising the issue of insufficient supply of ration, one of the protesters said that the people are not getting ration on monthly basis. "Three days had passed and still the people are waiting for the ration supply," he miffed adding that administration is making fool of people. "Though we are having public representative from BJP despite that if CAPD department fails to redress the demand of poor people, we would not hesitate to initiate struggle for sake of needy public", he added. Karan Singh said thousands of weaker sections people are completely dependent upon government ration supply but the department despite having proper funds impediments to provide ration supply that triggered anguish among people who today unwillingly came on the road against CAPD. Singh said CAPD must realize the suffering of people and restore ration supply with immediate effect. He said 3 kg wheat and 2 kg rice are not sufficient for people. Keeping this in view supply must be enhanced, he added.
