Mehbooba ignores state BJP leaders | | | Early Times Report jammu, Mar 6: Desperate to again get power at any cost, some leaders of the BJP have reportedly approached PDP, president Mehbooba Mufti for dialogue but the later has reportedly not given any encouraging response to them. Mehbooba Mufti has not shown any interest to meet with "irrelevant" BJP leaders because she has decided to start direct dialogue with BJP high command directly. Credible sources said it was decided in the meeting of some senior leaders of BJP to meet with Mehbooba Mufti to open channel of communications at state level. BJP leaders were aware that Mehbooba Mufti was visiting Jammu from March 3 to March 6 so party had given responsibility to two senior leaders to arrange meeting with Mehbooba Mufti. "BJP leaders sought time from Mehbooba Mufti but PDP chief has not shown any interest to start dialogue for government formation with the local BJP leaders", sources said and pointed out that Mehbooba Mufti is very much aware that meeting with local BJP leaders is nothing but just wastage of time because local leaders have no vision to discuss issues involved in government formation. And, secondly PDP chief is very much aware that BJP's central leadership is not giving any importance to the local leaders so she decided just to ignore them. Mehbooba Mufti, who reached Jammu on March 3, returned to Srinagar this afternoon after attending two public meetings organised by her party at Jammu and Samba on March 4 and March 5 respectively. Credible sources further said that most of the BJP leaders, who were ministers in the previous government, were desperately trying to again form alliance with PDP by accepting all conditions of the PDP so Central leadership of the party has also decided not to involve them any discussions on government formation. As earlier reported BJP has pushed for early formation of the coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, saying people were desiring it. "I think that the J&K government should be formed without wasting time", BJP leader Nirmal Singh told reporters on Saturday. The former Deputy Chief Minister said people want them to form the government as they have suffered a lot during the Congress regime. |
