JAMMU, Mar 6: A two-day long training of Master trainers on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene organized by Gurgia Charities and National Development Foundation (NDF) culminated here today. About 30 master trainers from different parts of Jammu division viz Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur, Rajouri and Poonch were trained during the training programme. Seema Sahai CEO Gurgia Charities, SM Sahai ADG CID, Rajiv Khajuria Chief Executive Officer NDF and Parvinder Singh Programme Manager NDF were the resource persons during the training programme. Participants were trained on various topics including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Water Conservation, Rain water harvesting, Water Security plans etc. Sunny Kumar Programme Coordinator NDF trained the participants on water testing using Field testing kits. These master trainers will further train the Village, Water and Sanitation Committees and will also aware the communities on water, sanitation and hygiene and importance of rain water harvesting, water conservation, water security plans and water testing to change the behavior of rural people to adopt hygienic practices, adopting household toilets and managing their water resources including water supply schemes. |
