Shiv Khori Kesari Vishal Dangal to be held on Tuesday 3/6/2016 10:49:25 PM Early Times Report Katra, Mar 6 : 18th Shiv Khori Kesari annual Vishal Dangal is scheduled to be held at Government High School Ransoo, the base camp of the Shiv Khori Shrine in Pouni Block of District Reasi on, Tuesday. The Wrestling meet is being organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with Department of J&K Tourism and Shiv Khori Dangal Committee as part of annual three days historic "Maha Shivratri" Mela at Shiv Khori, coming from 6th to 08th March 2016. The decision regarding organizing this Vishal Dangal was taken in a meeting held at Reasi under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sushma Chauhan while others who attended the meeting were President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma, Assistant Director Tourism Katra Ashima Sher, Shashi Kumar Gupta, President Shiv khori Mandali Katra, Executive officer Shri Shiv Khori Board who is also Mela officer Mahesh Sharma, District youth Services and Sports officer Dr. Swarn Singh Chib and officers from various Department participate in the meeting. Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India requested Director Tourism Jammu R.K Verma for granting Rs. 75,000/- for 18th Shiv Khori Vishal Dangal 2016 on the eve of "Shiv Khori Mela". Sharma said, "Our association organized a Vishal Dangal every year for the last 18 years usually held on 3rd day at Shiv Khori Mela". Sharma also said that last year J&K Tourism Department has released an amount of 65,000/- for Vishal Dangal as token money and this year, amount of token money should be increased as the rates of each material as well as the prize money has been increased many fold, as compared to last year.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
