'PM Package' employees without salaries on Maha Shivratri | Appeal Guv to intervene | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Mar 06: Those employed in various departments here under PM's Package for honourable return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits back to Valley are without salaries for the last few months. The government did not bother to release their salaries even on the eve of Maha Shivratri festival. This shows that government treats them with indifference even as it talks high about their rehabilitation in the valley. Its inability to provide monthly salaries to 1,400 KP employees posted here under PM's package puts a question mark on its ability to rehabilitate the whole community in Kashmir. The employees, who spoke to Early Times, said they had been running from pillar to post for the release of their salaries. They said the requisitions made by their departments to the relief office, Jammu, never reach there on time, making them to suffer. "There is a communication gap between HoDs of our departments in the valley and relief commissioner, relief and rehabilitation (M), Jammu, who is the funding authority," they alleged. They alleged that there had been a delay in the release of their salaries since the time of their employment in Kashmir, causing them mental tension.anymore. |
