Sikh organizations condemn grant of promotion to Uttam Chand 3/6/2016 11:09:30 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 6: An emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations of J&K was held under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh, Chief Organizer, Bhai Kanhaiya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex-Member of DGPC Jammu. The joint meeting comprising Sikh United Front J&K, All India Students Sikh Federation, Sikh Welfare Society, Sikh Naujawan Sabha strongly condemned the Governor NN Vohra for issuing orders of the promotion of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand as DIG Baramulla despite of the fact that the officer was placed under suspension for his alleged role in ordering a firing at Satwari to due to which a Sikh Youth of RS Pura namely Jashjeet Singh died on spot on the June 4, 2015. In the meeting, the participants also stressed upon the fact that a writ petition under OWP No.1696/2015 and M.P. No.01/2015 dated: 21.11.2015 by Sudershan Singh Wazir, Former President J&K State Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Board and 5 other elected members of DGPC Jammu in the High Court of Jammu, wherein a notice was issued to the government to reply against the said notice.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
