| Jammu mail train turns hub of robbery | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 20: Union Railways Ministry makes several promises for security and safety of passengers but number of robbery cases came into light in last few years. Jammu Mail trains that runs from Jammu Tawi to New Delhi disclosed all loopholes in security and safety of passengers as the train has turned into hub of robbery case. Despite of having knowledge of all these, railway police and authority act like spectators and no serious action has been initiated in this regard.
Swati Mukherjee, Swrti Barnik, Ayshi Barnik who were on their way to Jammu lost their assets including luggage, purse consisting Jewellery, cash, mobiles and important cards. They were in AC two tiers and suddenly failed to find their assets during mid night. But ironically when they staged protest demonstration during moving train, they found their luggage empty during dawn. Vikas Mittal lost 2 I-phone but failed to have after complaint to Railway Police.
It is pertinent to mention that there are numbers of such cases wherein passengers especially of ACs bogies highlighted such incidents but the graph of robberies has enhanced every day. Railway Police allegedly ignore such cases that urge robbers to perform heinous act during moving train. Some passenger alleged involvement of railways staff in robbery as when passengers staged protests their assets always found empty in previous incidents. The protesters demanded severe inquiry in robbery incidents in Jammu Mail. |
