| SP 'falsely' claims he is running distt | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 20: While the government has appointed a senior IPS officer to look after police affairs in Jammu district, a SP rank officer has been making 'false' claims before his subordinates that he is the actual boss.
The SP is posted in a peripheral Jammu area but he has his office in the city here. He even interferes in the jurisdiction of his senior and often issues directions to SHOs and other subordinates who actually do not fall under him, according to police sources.
"Five police squads have been constituted here for better and effective police functioning. Since he is made head of the most important of the squads, this has made him more powerful and arrogant as well," sources alleged.
"Since his squad mainly operates in the city, this has led to an increase in his interference in the city police functioning. He claims to be the real decision maker in the district," sources said.
He has also worked with a senior police officer in another district. |
