Jammu, Mar 26: India Reserve Police-4th Bn Headquartered at APC Channi Himmat, Jammu organized a two days long Kabaddi and Kho-Kho Tournament for Boys & Girls at Armed Police Complex Channi Himmat Jammu.
The Tournament was inaugurated and declared open by Rashmi Wazir SSP Commandant IR- 4th Battalion at Parade Ground, APC Channi Himat, Jammu today. The organizing Committee of the event was headed by Dy SP Rajni Sharma. The boys and girls students of Channi Himmat Locality based different schools participated in this tournament.
The aim of organizing such event is to bridge the gap between Police and people besides promoting the sports culture in the region. The tournament was played under the supervision of professional coaches of State Sports Council and National Institute of Sports of India including Sudesh Sharma NIS Coach, Dharamjit Singh NIS Coach, Sanjay Sharma Senior Player, Mukesh Sharma Sr. Player and Manik Sharma NIS Coach.
The Inaugural function of the event, was attended by a large number of sports lovers, civilians of the locality besides officers and officials of the APC based Battalions. |
