Jammu, Mar 26: A major gaffe has surfaced in Big Duggar Awards being presented by 92.7 Big FM, with photographs of prominent personalities found swapped with profile details of others. The only FM radio channel in Jammu, 92.7 Big FM is presenting awards, claiming it to be biggest event in Jammu to celebrate the achievements of artists in the field of music, sports, health and medical education, theatre, journalism, social work, literature, education and fine arts. The organizers have sought voting from netizens for the nominated personalities in various fields, but on Saturday morning neitizens were shocked to find photographs of other personalities with professional details of some others. Artist Amar Singh told Early Times that when he visited the official website www.bigduggarawards.com and searched the profiles of various personalities, he found that in the nominees of Fine Arts category, against the picture of Harsh Vardan Sharma, bio-data and details of Rajinder Tikku were pasted. In the nominees for awards in theatre category, against the photograph of Mustaq Kak, details of Vishwanath Kohli were shown, which was very shocking. "Today is the last day for voting to these personalities but till Saturday afternoon, wrong profile details were shown, due to which wrong votes must have been casted by the neitizens. Saturday evening is last day of voting and on Sunday evening awards would be presented", said Amar Singh. He said he had made several phone calls to the radio station's cluster head Syed Mujtaba Ali Zafri but he didn't respond to the calls. "It can be a human error or technical error but the organizers should extend time limit for awards", Singh said. Meanwhile, Zafri told Early Times that due to technical snag such things happened. "Due to huge voting, our website got crashed and was restored only after some time. In that few minutes, such problem was detected and was mended immediately", he said, adding that sometimes due to technical snag such problems erupt but the spirit of the awards should be hailed by all. |
