Before govt formation, BJP must ensure election promises in CMP : Harsh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 26 : Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) chairman Harsh Dev Singh on Saturday said that Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) must ensure its election promises in Common Minimum Programme (CMP) before government formation in state. According to press release, Harsh said that the wavering drama by both BJP and PDP over the Government formation mocked the democracy and the sanctity of electoral politics. "BJP that what actually prompted both the diametrically opposite parties to cobble up once again after holding the constitution as hostage for over two and a half months and divesting the people of its popular government", he questioned. He further said that union government hobnobbing with the supporters of Afzal Guru in Kashmir and issuing directives to Army for land vacation from certain zones clearly corroborate the truth that BJP was inclined to talk with the separatists and withdraw AFSPA in a phased manner to satiate her demands for CBM's. Singh cautioned the BJP that before forming the coalition Government with the PDP, it must assert to incorporate all the Jammu centric issues in the Agenda of Alliance. "Abrogation of article 370, delimitation of Assembly constituencies to end the regional bias, AIIMS and Smart city for Jammu were long cherished dreams of the people of Jammu region and any further deviation from these would not only mean Harakiri by the BJP but an act of subterfuge which shall be strongly opposed and agitated by the Panthers Party", Harsh said. Singh pointed out that BJP time and again raked up the issues in its vision document ahead of elections but despicably ignored to incorporate them in the CMP after coming to power, just to play a second fiddle in the Government. |
