| Miffed over alleged 'adamancy' Basohli locals stand up against elected MLA | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 26 : Alleging that a Class IV health employee was placed under suspension by Concerned Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kathua following a call from Ex Health Minister and MLA Basohli, a large number of youths from Basohli, assembly constituency today called on DDC Kathua and submitted a memorandum demanding revocation of suspension order and action against concerned officer also.
Earlier the agitated youths staged a protest and amid slogans demanded inquiry in the suspension of one Ajay Singh S/o Babu Ram R/o Adhat employed at SDH Basohli as Class IV employee who was allegedly placed under suspension by CMO Kathua after a telephonic direction from Ch Lal Singh.
Protestors drawn from Dhar Mahanpur, Adhat, Sanna Ghat, Jhankhar, Basholi alleged that CMO Kathua issued this order to express loyalty towards ex-health minister Ch Lal Singh without going into depth of matter i.e. the presence of the employee in rally.
They also alleged on MLA who is known for his outspoken nature has used abusive language in a public rally to some individuals as other persons don't have any dignity or reputation. They also alleged Basohli suffers due to lack of road connectivity and other basic facilities but MLA claims for development in the area.
Pertinent to mention Agricultural Department has organised Kissan Mela at Govt Higher Secondary School Dhar Mahanpur on 21 of this month, in which Ch Lal Singh was invited as chief guest.
Being habitual former minister Ch Lal Singh accredited himself of many achievements but suddenly some youths present in public rally stumped him and booed him for his shortfall and accused him for neglecting Basohli segment.
Ch Lal Singh took the matter personally and hurled abuses on youths from the stage which triggered protest amid anti Lal Singh sloganeering.
"Irritated over this ugly episode MLA tried to know the medical employees of the area and telephonically directed CMO to suspend employees belonging to that remote area and in this regard Ajay Singh shortlisted and suspended under CMO order no CMO/k/7740-42, locals added.
Youths of area have also appealed Governor N N Vohra and DDC Kathua to intervene the matter besides revocation of transfer order. They have served two days ultimatum to authorities for revoking otherwise they will come to streets against MLA Basohli and CMO Kathua |
