CEO seeks explanation from absentee staff at GGHS Jawahar Nagar | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 1: On the directions from Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and under the supervision of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ch Altaf Hussain a team of Education Department paid surprise visit to Government Girls High School (GGHS), Jawahar Nagar and found six staff members present in the school out of 23 posted in the school. The team lead by District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) found that Mukta Gupta, headmistress was on casual leave in the second half but her casual leave application was neither carrying date nor the leave was marked on the arrival-departure register. Two teachers were on casual leave while the casual leave applications (for second half) of three teachers namely Nighat, Fozia and Arshad were lying in the arrival-departure register without any sanction. Rest of the staff including Zabida Yasmeen class IV employees were found on unauthorised absent from duty by the team members. On the report submitted by the inspection team , Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO vide his office order has stopped the salaries of the staff members including headmaster , except six staff members including two teachers namely Wahid and Sangeeta present in the school during inspection, for the month of March . CEO has also directed the headmistress to explain her position on unauthorised absent from duty, submission of her casual leave application (for second half) without date and also for allowing teachers in bulk to leave the school. CEO also has directed the second in-charge of the school to explain his/her position why staff was allowed to leave the school in unauthorized manner. |
