Student rusticated for dishonoring tricolour, open FIR lodged | | | ET Report Jammu, Apr 1: A student of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu was rusticated from the hostel by the college authorities for allegedly torching the Indian flag after India lost to West Indies in the T20 World Cup semifinals. Meanwhile Police have registered a case against some unidentified miscreants IGGDC college sources said, “A student pursuing professional Bachelor of Dental Science from the said college today was rusticated from the hostel by the college authorities for allegedly torching the tri-color after the India-West Indies match.” They said that the student was allegedly rusticated previously also from the college for his alleged anti-national activities. “Last night after India lost to West Indies, the student raised anti- India slogan and also snatched the Indian flag from other students watching the television in a college auditorium and put it on fire,” college sources said. Meanwhile police sources said that concerned police have registered a case against unidentified u/s 506, 323, and 2/3 of RPC has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and further investigations in this regard are on. |
