Div Com 'humilates' senior officer | | | Saahil Suhail Early Times Report anantnag, Apr 1: Grilling executive officers of civic bodies for their poor performance in implementing Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Samoon during video conferencing told the officials that he has named Tufail Matoo -Director Urban Local Bodies as 'tu fail hai'. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a national campaign by the Government of India, covering 4,041 statutory cities and towns, to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country. An official, who attended the video conference, accused Divisional Commissioner Kashmir of using un-parliamentary language during the 45 minutes long session during which Dr. Samoon reviewed the sanitation measures being taken in various districts of Kashmir division. "After 15 minutes Divisional Commissioner Kashmir suddenly used un-parliamentary language while taking the review of the cleanliness in Baramulla district," he said Official said that Divisional Commissioner started using un-parliamentary language by saying he and Deputy Commissioners have been tasked to clean. "All these municipal officials are thieves; I have named their Director Tufail Matoo- tu fail hai. He is not working. Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner is also a big thief," officer quoting Divisional Commissioner's lines told Early Times, however requested this reporter not to reveal his identity. He revealed that video conference stared at around 3:00pm and continued till 3:45 pm on Friday. Anees Choudary, President Executive Officers' Forum too accused Divisional Commissioner of using harsh words against senior officers of Housing and Urban Development Department. "Who is cleaning the cities, towns and other areas? We condemn the behavior of Divisional Commissioner," Choudary said. He revealed that civic bodies across Kashmir will hold peaceful protests against the rude behavior of Divisional Commissioner. "Manzoor Ahmad Pampori has given a call for protests tomorrow. Officers and employees will hold protests tomorrow on district level," he claimed. |
