| Erratic CAPD ration supply triggers protest | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 1 : A large number of people hailing from Haripur, today staged huge protest demonstration outside the office of TSO Hiranagar under the leadership of BL Kadley, a social activist wherein they demanded CAPD ration supply and pointed out BPL list prepared by the department.
While addressing protesters, Kandley said people hailing from Haripur have been crying for CAPD ration for 3 months but after number of reminders to Asstt. Director CAPD and TSO, ration supply could not be restored. Kandley said the department must realize the suffering of people and regular supply should be provided monthly. Surinder Kumar, a local pointed out BPL lists recently prepared by BDO and CAPD wherein blue eyed manipulated the lists and included the names of those who have luxury assets while ignoring deserving candidates. He demanded inquiry in the matter and list must be prepared on fact basis.
The protesters threatened to continue their strike outside TSO office if CAPD fails to provide ration by tomorrow.
When contacted to TSO Hiranagar, Thirth Ram, he could not murmur single word on BPL list that smells scam in the preparation of lists as per pointed by deserving people.
He was mum on the reason of erratic CAPD ration supply that allegedly stored but did not supply for 3 months. |
