'Implementation of reserved seats for women, handicapped persons in buses'

Jammu, April 1 : PDP leader Sushma Sawhney demanded implementation of government order that reservation of seats for women and physically challenged persons will be ensured in all passenger buses and medium/mini buses to make the travelling of these categories more comfortable.
Sushma Sawhney said it was very difficult for a lady & a handicapped person to travel by standing but after the order was issued in 2013 but it was not implemented. She also demanded that the conductors must have uniforms as during the time of closing of schools and colleges several youths become conductor of buses as well as matadors and create problems with female passengers as well as female students. Sushma Sawhney appealed with IG traffic and RTO Jammu to look up into the matter and take strict action against who don't follow rules and issue orders for uniform of conductor.
