People protest, block road against CAPD Deptt 4/1/2016 11:28:09 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Apr 1 : People of Rehambal protested and blocked the National Highway against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department for improper distribution of verification form of ration cards. People took to streets and raised anti-Government slogans to press for their demands. The protesters also blocked the main roads and asked the state administration to revoke the order at earliest or face agitation. Protesters, including women blocked the movement of traffic in support of their demands and created a road blockade which led to traffic jams at procession site in Rehmbal. Speakers also blamed the department for irregularities and irresponsible approach in making the proper ration distribution and keeping the genuine card holders away from their allotted ration quota.
