Congress extends support to agitating Jewellers

Jammu, Apr 1 : Senior leaders of JKPCC have expressed serious concern over the failure of centre Govt. to consider the demands of agitating Jewellers in the country and criticized the tough stand adopted by the Govt. over the issue.
The Jewellers all over the country and in the state are agitating over imposition of duty and other conditions in the union budget, which has not only caused great hardships to them but to the common people . They said the common man would be worst affected , as the burden would pass on to them , who otherwise suffer a lot due to steep rise in the prices of everything especially during the BJP regime . They urged upon the Govt. of India to reconsider their decision and with draw the hike and other conditions in the larger interest of the people. The signatories to the statement are Vice President PCC and former Minister Raman Bhalla, Former Minister and General Secretary PCC Yogesh Sawhney, Chief Spokesperson PCC and former MLC Ravinder Sharma, General secretaries PCC Vikram Malhotra, Manmohan Singh and President DCC Jammu(Urban) Anil Chopra.
