| JAMMU, Apr 1: Following the directions of Governor N.N. Vohra regarding the effective enforcement of sanitation management in urban areas, the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), as per the progress reports submitted by them, have cleared 11,490 MT and 8,345 MT of garbage, respectively, during March, 2016. The Governor has been receiving daily reports on the clearance of garbage by SMC and JMC. The Governor has expressed serious concern over inadequate sanitation management in the key urban locations and directed wide ranging actions to be taken to systematically implement the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan across the State. |
