Cable laying should not obstruct plying of vehicles on NH: DC | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Apr 25 - Cable laying contractors have to supervise their work of digging on the national highway very carefully and ensure no inconvenience to smooth vehicular movement and general public. This was instructed by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz while chairing a meeting with company representatives and cable contractors today. He said while adding that the motorable part of NH at many locations has been shrunk due to mismanagement of rubbles and debris. While making reference of the upcoming darbar move and Shree Amarnath Ji yatra, DC impressed upon the contractors and company representatives to apply such methods for digging by which NH remains unaffected and free from any hindrance. DC also asked the contractors to adhere to all terms and conditions of contract agreement signed with National Highways Authority of India. Any type of violation will attract legal action, he added while sounding a cautioning note to them. The meeting was also attended by Area Manager Reliance JIO Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Manager Ericsson Saleem Raza, Sterlite Technician Ajai Chib and various contactors. |
