AIBCU holds meeting, highlights demand | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Apr 25: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today held a meeting at Community Hall, Vijaypur under the leadership of Abdul Majid Malik in which they highlights demands. During meeting, union president Malik demanded for meaningful functioning of Backward Classes Commission in which no chairman since its inception in 1995 and members' appointments are also made arbitrary. This type of composition of Backward Classes Commission is only to stop the natural flow of justice with lucrative benefits to the favorites. Meanwhile, Prof Kali Dass gave a detailed information about the sufferings of the State OBCs (Called OSCs in J&K) which include non-implementation of the Apex Court's Judgment of 1992 on Mandal Report and union suggested the Government to adjust the RBA / ALC Reservation under Para 95 of the Apex Court Judgment which refers to Art 16(1) of the Indian Constitution. Reservation components viz. Non-enhancement of creamy layer from 4.5 lac to 6 lac since 18th May 2013, No-Renewal of OSC Certificate on the bases of income certificate & one & only one certificate on the name of OBC instead of OSC. They further said that state OBC Advisory and Development Board has not been made functional in the past one year for the reasons best known to the Government and State OBCs are expressing their resentment. Minister Singh assured for any help for redressal of the OBC's problem Cabinet Minister Chander Prakash Ganga also shared his views with full support for the redress of the OBC problems. MR Bangotra, Raj Kumar, Tara Chand, Sandokh Chand, Gyssaub Aganger, Braham Lal, Romesh Kumar Verma and Gulam Rasool were also spoke on the occasion. |
