Passenger vehicles plying on interior Ramban roads in poor shape | People appeal ARTO to take cognizance | | Danish Mohammad
Early Times Report
Banihal, Apr 24 : Maximum Passenger vehicles plying on the different link roads in District Ramban are in poor shape and fitness and are posing threat to the hundreds of passengers commuting in them each day. Locals of different areas of Ramban and Banihal said that many passenger vehicles plying on the link roads are mechanically not road worthy. They said that specially most small passenger vehicles are not mechanically fit for plying on link roads like Rajgarh, Neel, Gandhri, Ukharal, Seena Bati, Mahu Mangit, Chanjloo Banihal, and Gool and Sangaldan link roads as these roads are very tedious and risky and traveling on such dilapidated vehicles adds on to the risk. Locals said that it is the duty of Assistant Transport Officer ARTO Ramban to check the fitness of vehicles plying on these link roads. They said that maximum vehicle owners and drivers are issued the fitness certificates in violation of norms. They alleged that the drivers are busy to earn money from these vehicles and have little concern for human lives. People appealed to district administration and especially to ARTO Ramban to check the fitness of these vehicles which are plying in a very bad condition and force them to maintain their vehicles mechanically so, the precious human lives are not put to avoidable risk. |
