Doda school closed on teacher's marriage 5/4/2016 11:17:52 PM ET Report Bhaderwah, May 4: Taking strong exception of unofficial closure of the Govt High School (GHS) Bhaglain Doda today, the local residents have demanded action against authorities of the school. The parents and students found the Government High School, Bhagla locked with a notice pasted on the headmistress office that the school shall remain closed due to marriage ceremony of one of the teachers of the school. Sarpanch of the village Javed Malik said, "I noticed GHS Bhagala locked and immediately informed District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda and Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda in this regard." Later Naib Tehsildar Bhagla Naveen Kumar along with Principal Govt Hr Sec School Bharath reached the spot and found the complaint genuine as the school was locked. The Sarpanchsaid teachers of this school never perform their duty sensibly as often majority of them are found absent and force students to suffer. "Nearly 200 students including girls have been enrolled in the school which mostly remains closed as the teachers preferto stay at home instead of attending their duties," he said,adding that"today's episode is the tip of the ice berg."   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
