GMC administration over rules Govt order Fixes its own time table to facilitate blue eyed 5/4/2016 11:18:26 PM Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, May 4: Trashing the circular of the State Government notifying summer timings in all Government offices/institutions from May 1, the Government Medical College administration has notified its own timings allegedly to facilitate some blue eyed. However, officials of the hospital claims that keeping in view of patient care especially for those who visit far-flung areas, the timings has been changed of the hospital and its associated hospital so better health services would be provide to them. Sources in GMC&H Jammu told Early Times that since the timings of government departments in summer zone have been changed to 8AM to 2PM, the administration of the GMC&H has modified the government circular directing its staff to follow 9 AM to 3 PM timings in the hospitals. Interestingly almost faculty of the GMC&H and its associated hospital against this and they want to pursue the government order. "Two separate groups in the GMCH and associated hospitals are visiting Principal office over the issue of timings but administration didn't take any step to solve the issue," Sources said stating that it seems the administration has changed timings from 9 AM to 3 PM for the convenience of the blue eyed. Sources further stated that, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu, Director Health Services Jammu and other health institutes are pursuing timings as per order issued by State Government. Meanwhile, District administration has asked GMC&H to conform to the standard timings in the government offices in Jammu Division as notified vide this office order no 402/GS/75-II/364-486 dated 29-4-2016.
