DC for uninterrupted railways construction work | | | Early Times Report Ramban May 6: The construction work of Railways at various sites in the district should run smoothly besides resolving all glitches including the issues related with land acquisition. These directions were issued by Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz while chairing a meeting with officers and representatives of different construction agencies like IRCON, AFCON and northern railways and expressed that bottlenecks on the projects having national importance be removed. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Babu Ram, Sub Divisional Magistrate Gool Zameer Ahmed Rishu, Tehsildar Khari Tanvir-Ul Majid, General Manager IRCON D.P. Choudhary, Lt. Col (Rtd) R.J. Srinivasa, JGM Lokesh Gupta, Senior Officer AFCONS Anup Trivedi, Officer System-IT Shabir Ahmed, Executive Engineer Northren Railway Ankur Sharma, INR RP Gupta and various other companies representatives. Earlier, General Manager IRCON apprised the meeting with current status of the construction work and some issues. While assuring full cooperation and support to the companies, the Deputy Commissioner said that all possible efforts shall be made by the administration for smooth construction work. Deputy Commissioner instructed ADC to visit the sites of work and keep close watch on it and provide support to the companies as and when required. He emphasized on the companies for proper photography and videography of proposed construction sites before starting work besides sensitizing the locals properly. While speaking on companies' sense of responsibility towards the community and environment, Deputy Commissioner stressed for creating durable and visible assets under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to develop these areas. Later on, DC also convened a meeting with the officers of education department to review its physical and financial status in view of implementing schemes of State and Centre. |
