| SHO turns 'sexploiter', abuses woman victim | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 6: A Sub-Inspector, who is posted as Station House Officer (SHO), in outskirts of Jammu district has been allegedly abusing a woman sexually.
According to sources the family of the victim woman had approached the Police after she eloped with a youth. The SHO after receiving complaint succeeded in recovering the duo.
"After recovering the duo, he (SHO) kept them in separate rooms and then he utilized the services of a female SPO in convincing the female to give in to his overtures. The SHO allegedly threatened the woman that if she did not fall in line he would malign her image and nobody would marry her and later the SHO abused the woman sexually", claimed sources.
Sources further maintained that the SHO later solemnized the marriage of the duo but continued to abuse the woman sexually.
"The SHO has made the life of the woman hell but owing to social stigma she is not complaining", maintained sources.
The said SHO has served in-charge police posts in Jammu city. Prior to his present posting he has served as SHO in another outskirt police station of Jammu district. Further, the said SHO has overstayed in Jammu district and enjoyed plum postings. |
