Failed in firing test, SI manages posting as I/C PP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: A Sub-Inspector (SI) who failed to clear his firing test to pass the probation exam after completion of 8 years of service has been posted as in-charge police post in city outskirts, vindicating reports that merit is ignored while posting middle rung police officers as incharge Police posts and SHOs. According to police sources, the SI of 2008 batch failed to clear his firing test which is mandatory for a Probationer after completion of 8 years of his service. "It is ironical that he is posted as incharge of a sensitive post that is close to the IB on the outskirts of Jammu even as he has failed his shooting test", disclosed a source casting aspersions on his ability and capability to man such a police post. Sources further claimed that the SI had earlier headed a police post in Jammu city and was later transferred after his working was found unsatisfactory and non-professional. Surprisingly, the SI who has failed to clear the mandatory test has been posted as in-charge police post when some professional Sub-Inspectors have been ignored and not considered for posting as I/C PPs. |
