SPO alleged enjoys two jobs, draws separate salaries, probe ordered 5/24/2016 10:56:41 PM Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Srinagar, May 24: A Special Police Officer (SPO) allegedly was enjoying two government jobs and also has drawn salaries against the two jobs and taking cognizance in this regard police have ordered a probe. According to sources, the accused identified as Madan Lal s/o Jodhram posted at Trishpura in Kuntwara of Kishtwar District despite being an SPO in the police department is allegedly withdrawing salaries from two different places one as an SPO and other as a driver of a bus engaged with Kendriya Vidyalaya School Kishtwar. As per the details available with "Early Times" the accused SPO was caught on camera while driving a school bus engaged by the management of Kendriya Vidyalaya School Kishtwar for ferrying the students from their respective homes and back to their homes. As per some local eyewitnesses, the SPO was seen driving a mini bus bearing registration No: JK17-3334 having permit from Salana (Saroor) area of Drabshalla to Thathri area, but plying from Shalimar to KV School Kishtwar in violation of the rules and regulation floated by the police SPO with impunity and thus raises question marks on authorities responsible for keeping check on such activities. The people alleging foul play at the hands of some influential in department have demanded recovery of full salary from the erring SPO which was paid to him by the police department. SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Kumar Wazir said that the investigation into the matter has been started after department received information regarding the incident along with some photographs.
