| ACR, Tehsildar Kathua fail to retrieve encroached land | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 24: The Kathua revenue officials have failed to retrieve thousands of kanals of state land.
"The officers act like spectators and expect miracles to retrieve encroached land," Nanju Ram, a senior citizen of village Jagatpur said.
Hans Raj S/o Thoru Ram R/o Jagatpur a ReT has encroached state land and path that was being used by villagers in few months back but Hans Raj encroached entire state land resulting hard for people to walk.
Number of deputations from village approached DDC Kathua who marked complaint to his below hierarchy ACR Atul Gupta, he marked Tehsildar Avtar Singh, to Naib Tehsildar Bhog Raj then Gradwar Ismail and Patwari Arun Kumar but allegedly no action at climax of complaint.
Raj Kumar, another villager pointed out inaction attitude of ACR/ Tehsildar and alleged that encroacher is properly backed by Land mafia that has close association with both these high Revenue officers. The encroacher threats people for dare consequence and informed about his association with these officers and land mafia.
Kumar said people used the land from last several years but now it's hard for them to walk and travel several miles to reach. He said people approached Revenue officers but no action has been taken till day.
The villagers demanded retrieve of land and action against tainted officers. They demanded severe inquiry of assets and movable/immovable properties of these officers that would disclose their association with land mafia and back to encroachers of state land.
Som Raj, Jai Paul, Karan singh, Kanta Devi, Jodh Ram and Des Raj were also present in the protest. |
