Poonch, May 24: A peaceful protest demonstration was taken out in Purani Poonch near Moti Mahal against the failure of Irrigation and Flood control department to stop soil erosion due to Betar nallah. According to press release, leading the protest demonstration Jugal kishore Sharma a local urged the district administration and irrigation department to construct concrete banns immediately to stop the soil erosion.
They warned that if administration fails to protect area the people would come on roads for their basic rights. Others who joined protest were Vickey Sharma , Ramsh Chandar, Papi, Mohd Shania, Shusheel Kumar, Raj Paul and others. |
