Little Flower wins by 3 wkts in U-19 Cricket | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 24: Little Flower High School emerged winner in the under-19 cricket tournament of tehsil Akhnoor, organised by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School ground. In the final, Little Flower defeated YCC Akhnoor by three wickets. Earlier, YCC won the toss and decided to bat first they made 100 runs for nine wickets in allotted 16 overs. Rohan and Atul Sharma remained top scorers with 26 and 22 runs in their respective accounts. From Little Flower Akhnoor, Amit Magotra and Yubby shared three wickets each while Rohit Kumar bagged one. In reply, Little Flower chased the total making 103 runs for seven wickets, sparing four overs of their innings. Arush Chandan played fine innings of 35 runs while Yubby made 24. Ankit was most successful bowler from YCC with three wickets, followed by Arun, who secured two. Ankit and Kaushal shared apiece each. Yubby was declared man of the match while man of the series title went to Sony. The final was officiated by Sunny Mahi and Pankaj Verma as umpires while Ashu was scorer. In the final, president Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, Sham Singh Langeh was chief guest, who encouraged the boys. Deepak Sharma was guest of honour. |
