Teachers Guild demands pending salary of RET teachers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 24: Members of Teachers Guild today held a meeting here at its headquarter in which they demanded pending salary of ReT teachers. Nasir Ahmed Qurashi, State President Teachers Guild, in his presidential address, suggests the Government two strategies to overcome the problem once for all. Firstly amount exceeding the salary of Head Teachers i.e. except Rs. 27160 be met out of District Plan and in future the Head Teachers be engaged on contract basis only and not through DPC. He appealed to the Education Minister Nayeem Akhtar, who streamlined the education department at many levels applicably, for his straightway attention in the matter and arrangements of grants for release of pending salaries of R-e-T Teachers. Mohd. Farooq Faraz Qurashi, Advocate and Advisor Legal Cell of Teachers Guild said that it is entirely injustice with R-e-T Teachers and their families. He said that this is also an open violation of constitution, which gave the right to life and personal liberty. The teacher community has the legal right under constitution to drag the authorities in the Court of law as they deprived of from their right of livelihood by the negligent authorities. While expressing his serious concern over the pending salary he urged the government to immediately release the salary of teachers and masters so that they may not suffer more in future. Mohd. Majeed, Jai Karan, Balbir Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Parveen Akhter, Om Parkash, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Tirth Singh, Kuljeet Harjeet Singh, Upasna Kumari, Asha Kumari and Manjeet Singh were also present during meeting. |
