Locals protest against shortage of ration and water supply 5/28/2016 10:31:26 PM MS NAZKI Early Times Report Mendhar, May 28: Residents of Harmutta Gursai who reportedly are without Ration and drinking water supply for the last five months today staged protest demonstration and demanded early restoration of the supply of basic amenities. Raising slogans against the local administration, the protesting people said that the genuine ration card holders are not getting ration and alleged that concerned dealers always reply that there is no ration and booth is out of stock. They demanded immediate restoration of ration and water supply which too has got snapped for the last five months adding more to their miseries. Locals while interacting with ET reporter said that during protest villagers highlighted their problems and alleged that they are facing acute shortage of ration and drinking water for the last few months. They also alleged that concerned departments are deliberately ignoring this village for supplying ration. Besides this they also alleged discrepancies in NFSA lists and added that the beneficiaries are not getting ration as per the quota fixed by the Government and demanded the administration to ensure that they be provided the same henceforth.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
