Speaker admits participation in RSS's weapon display rally | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 28: J&K Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta has admitted that he took part in RSS rally a couple of months ago in Jammu wherein RSS men displaced weapons on the streets and roads of Jammu. During debate on Governor's address, Congress legislator from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that by recalling the mayhem of 1947 in Jammu, displaying of weapons by RSS man during a rally in Jammu in which Speaker JK Assembly Kavinder Gupta was also reportedly take part and the same was aimed to threatened the Muslims of Jammu where Muslims are in minority. "I heard that Speaker (Kavinder Gupta) also take part in RSS rally in which weapons were displayed on streets and roads of Jammu, particularly in Shaheedi Chowk area of Jammu--- did you participate in the said rally Speaker sahib" Saroori said in his speech. The Speaker replied "yes". As and when speaker admitted that he had taken part in the RSS weapon displayed rally, the opposition benches shouted "shame". Saroori said that PDP-Congress government was a golden era added that by joining hands with BJP, the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed thought that he will get a similar response which was given to him (Mufti) by Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad and the then UPA Government. Saroori said that Mufti shake hands with Prime Minister Narindra Modi who was instrumental behind 2002 Gujarat massacre. He said that present India is not the India of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indra Gandhi and other secular people like Rajeev Gandhi, but today it has become the nation of Sakshi Maharaj, Parveen Tagodia, Mohan Bhagwat and Subramanyam Swami who brought today's India on the verge of distruction wherein people like Iklaq Ahmed was killed in Dadri, Youth Akther Hussain was burnt alive in Udhampur, killing Gujjar Youth at Sarore Samba and attack on elected MLA Er. Rashid inside JK Assembly. He said that incident like Muzafar Nagar and Dadri are the handiwork of BJP backed RSS. He said that the dreams of delimitation showed by the BJP are not anywhere to be seen added that BJP promise to accord UT status to Ladakh, rehabilitation of PoK, West Pak refugees and rehabilitation of LoC victims proved to be hollow slogans. He said that BJP’s silence on Article 370 and its mention strengthening in governor address shows that dual attitude of the BJP who wants to stick to power could compromise added that BJP Ministers are the part of the cabinet which accepted the strengthening of Article 370 mentioned at serial No. 6 of governor address. He said that government fails to bring any new projects in the state during last 16 months and said that construction of Sangpora-Viloo and Mughal Road tunnel find no mention in address. He said that there was no mention of return of power projects like Dool-Hasti, Uri & Salal as was recommended by Ranga Rajan committee. He also said that government is not prepared to tackle any disaster in the state and there was also no mention of strengthening of disaster management system in the state in governor's address ahead of prediction of massive earthquake. He said that Congress-NC government did not implemented NFSA in the state as it did not full fill the requirement of people of state. He said that the act required modification. He also slams Deputy CM Nirmal Singh for his failure to release sanctioned funds for electrification of un-electrified areas of Chenab valley. |
